Lockeport Lobster Sea Catch Festival: Celebrate lobster season at the annual Lockeport Lobster Sea Catch Festival, held each February as part of Nova Scotia’s South Shore Lobster Crawl. The festival brings the community together for a day of local vendors, food, demonstrations, activities, and our popular Biggest Lobster Competition, celebrating Lockeport’s fishing heritage and connection to the sea.
Easter Egg Hunt: A favourite spring tradition in Lockeport, the annual Easter Egg Hunt begins with children and families making their way around town in search of clues before returning to Seacaps Playground for the main egg hunt.
Big Beach Market: Come check out the Big Beach Market from June to September at the Crescent Beach Centre, featuring local vendors offering arts, crafts, and more. The market is an ongoing fundraiser supporting the Seacaps Park Playground Frundraiser Group.
Youth Soccer: Free Summer soccer program beginning the end of June to end of August, Saturday mornings from 10:00-11:00. Open to all ages. Parents must accompany and are encouraged to participate. A great introduction to the sport in a fun, supportive environment.

Family Beach Bash: Kick off the summer with a classic day at the beach! Held in late June or early July, the Family Beach Bash features music, food, games, and family fun. Hosted by Make Your Move Lockeport, the event includes favourites like tug-of-war and sack races, along with a sand sculpture contest for the whole family to enjoy.
Annual Beach Bash: Join us at the Crescent Beach Centre for one of Lockeport’s biggest summer gatherings, featuring live music from local band One Meter Up, food vendors, dancing, and plenty of community fun. Held each August, the Big Beach Bash is one of the most well-attended events of the season.
Crescent Beach Auto Show: The annual Crescent Beach Auto Show brings car enthusiasts together in Lockeport for a great day beside our famous Crescent Beach. Check out an impressive collection of cars, trucks, classics and custom creations, along with food, music, prizes and plenty of automotive fun.
Senior Events Throughout the year, the Town hosts a variety of activities for local seniors, including a monthly Seniors Bingo and several social events offered in partnership with Shelburne County Senior Safety & Services. Annual gatherings include a Summer Seniors Social, Seniors Picnic, and Holiday Dinner, providing opportunities to connect, socialize, and enjoy time together in the community.
